PDG is currently working with the City of Oklahoma City for the design of the new Manuel Perez Park. Improvements include a Medal of Honor Memorial with a water feature, flag poles, plaza and shade structures, relocation of the existing Manuel Perez Monument, large picnic pavilion, playground area, parking lot evaluation and repairs, lighted Futsal Courts, Street Style skate improvements and additions to the Mat Hoffman Skate Park, landscaping, walkways, furniture, and ADA access improvements.

The upgrades to Manuel Perez Park center on four main areas of improvements. The first area contains the Medal of Honor Memorial that commemorates past Medal of Honor recipients from the State of Oklahoma. The memorial includes a water feature, the relocated Manuel Perez memorial plaque, and other amenities. Second, is the addition of a large picnic pavilion and playground area. This space consists of a large pavilion that can house up to 240 people, a playground and various other items to house large events. Next, is the addition of two Futsal Courts and basketball courts west of the Shields Boulevard bridge. Last, is the addition of “Street Style” skating to the existing Mat Hoffman Skate Park. The overall design of the park will encompass materials, architectural elements, and vibrant colors that are representative of the Latin community and neighborhoods adjacent to the park.
